Directory, shop and enquiry terms

These terms cover the directory, shop catalogue and quotation service. A request is not an order; confirm any sale or hire agreement directly with the contracting supplier.

Version: 2026-09-28.

1. Directory, shop and quotation service

ContainerBook UK provides supplier information and helps users prepare enquiries. A directory listing is not a guarantee of stock, price, quality or delivery coverage. Read the source and checking date shown on each profile.

The shop displays our container sale prices where stated. It does not display live stock. Delivery, offloading and optional work are priced in a delivered quotation; the proposed unit and its availability must be confirmed. Submitting an enquiry does not place an order, take payment or form a container sale or hire contract. The written quotation identifies the contracting seller and the full terms before you agree to buy or hire.

2. Operator

The directory is operated by Lu Gd, trading as LG, based at Rue de la Préfecture, 21000 Dijon, France. This is the operator's actual French identity; the UK edition does not represent a separate UK company.

Contact: [email protected]. Business registration: French SIREN 937580306. VAT registration: FR17937580306.

3. Enquiries and your information

Provide accurate project and delivery details. The quotation form and privacy notice explain who receives your enquiry and any forwarding of your contact details. Being listed does not mean a supplier automatically receives enquiries.

The request is free to the person seeking a quotation. Where the service receives payment from participating professionals, that does not change the product information the supplier must confirm.

4. Prices and delivery

Shop prices are our sale prices in pounds sterling for the described base container. The VAT-inclusive price includes VAT at 20%; the same price excluding VAT is shown alongside. Delivery, offloading and optional repainting or alterations are additional. Models marked ‘Price on request’ require a specific quotation. Supplier price examples elsewhere on the site are separate, dated research and are not our sale prices.

Request the full amount payable including VAT, delivery, offloading and any mandatory charges. Delivery depends on the postcode and access conditions. Confirm the total and all charges before entering a contract. The enquiry form does not take payment or accept an order.

5. Site suitability

Planning rules differ across the UK's four nations. Contact the local planning authority and the relevant building control or building standards service about the actual project. A small footprint, temporary use or lack of foundations does not automatically establish an exemption.

Agree vehicle access, ground conditions, lifting arrangements and the delivery position with the supplier. Dimensions in a guide are not a structural design or a site safety assessment.

6. Supplier contracts and consumer rights

Before a sale or hire contract, the contracting trader must provide the applicable pre-contract information, including identity, full price and charges, delivery arrangements, cancellation information and complaint handling. Concluding the agreement later by email or telephone can still be distance selling; the absence of a website checkout does not remove those duties.

For an eligible consumer distance sale of goods, the normal cancellation period ends 14 days after the day of delivery, with a further 14 days to return the goods after cancellation. Exceptions can apply, including goods genuinely made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised. A supplier must not assume that any standard option or ordinary preparation automatically removes cancellation rights. Where the consumer is to bear return costs, the trader must disclose them before the contract, including the cost of returning goods that cannot normally be posted. A container may need specialist return transport.

Goods sold by a trader to a consumer, including used goods, must meet the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requirements, taking account of their description, age, price and specifically disclosed defects. A consumer normally has a 30-day short-term right to reject non-conforming goods; repair, replacement and later remedies have their own conditions. A commercial warranty, ‘as-is’ or ‘sold as seen’ label does not remove statutory rights. Business and genuine private sales follow different rules.

Eligible cancellation refunds include standard outbound delivery. The trader may in relevant circumstances await the returned goods or evidence of return and may deduct for excessive handling, subject to the regulations. Faulty-goods remedies are separate from changing your mind. Nothing in these directory terms excludes applicable statutory rights; the actual sale contract and cancellation form still need to be supplied before an order.

7. Corrections and complaints

Send corrections or complaints concerning this directory to [email protected], identifying the page and information concerned. Complaints about a sale or hire should first go to the contracting supplier.

The directory does not decide legal disputes or certify suppliers. Any paid placement must be identified as such, and reported factual errors can be reviewed.
