- **Offloading**: lorry-mounted crane or separate lifting; have the drop-off point, in front of the gate or at the final location, written into the quote.
- **Parking on the public highway**: if the lorry or container needs to occupy the street or pavement, even for the duration of delivery, check with the local council: a permit may be required.

## Do I need planning permission for a garden container?

Establish the site's lawful use and the proposed container use before delivery. Show its siting, height, duration, foundations or connections, access and effects on neighbours. Storage, an incidental garden room and an independent home are different proposals. Planning and technical building approval are separate; the applicable rules come from the UK nation where the site is located. Size, mobility and a shipping certificate alone do not establish an exemption.
